‘Quin’ is an exceptional young Warmblood stallion by Quaterback x (De Niro x Contango II). Imported from Australia as a weanling, Quin was named Champion Studbook Stallion of the 2026 NZWA Tour, earning an impressive 82.75% excellence grade, making him one of the highest-scoring NZWA studbook stallions in the country.

Quin’s sire, Quaterback, has been a prolific producer of dressage horses and is currently ranked 3rd in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) rankings. He also boasts the Olympic stallion Quando Quando as his grandsire. His dam’s sire, De Niro, needs no introduction, having been one of the most successful dressage sires in history. Also present in his pedigree is Contango, who sired the two-time Olympic dressage competitor Ravel, ridden by Steffen Peters, as well as the imported Trakehner stallions Koenigsburg and Copernicus.

We believe Quintiago WD is an extremely exciting dressage and breeding prospect.

Standing at 16hh, Quin is a versatile size for a breeding stallion, able to cover and complement a wide range of mares. He boasts expressive movement, natural ability and, perhaps most importantly, is proving to be an extremely straightforward and sensible stallion to handle and work with—as well as being an absolute dreamboat to ride.

This young Casanova is proving to be very fertile, with his first outstanding progeny already exceeding our expectations—with most themselves receiving top excellence grades at the NZWA 2026 tour.

Quin will be available via AI for the 2026/27 breeding season from late October.
